If the shadow moves off the ball you have lost the proper swing center. If you keep the shadow on the ball, even though it moves a little, you have maintained the correct swing position. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player, your first goal is to keep in play. Develop and stick to your pre-shot routine. By consistently keeping with your pre-shot routine, you increase your odds of consistent play. This is the most important ingredient and the first step to consistent play. I have often been tempted to skip or modify my own pre-shot routine. This is another big key in course management. If my tee shot has left me in a nasty predicament, the goal is to leave my next shot inside the 150 and in the fairway.

In most of the golf fitness books, videos and articles you read, you will see the golfer holding a particular stretch for up to 60 seconds. So why would you train your body in this fashion?
